Trials in South Africa have been ongoing with the local providers. On my iPhone, I stopped enabling LTE because not all base stations support it, and once iPhone loses an LTE connection, it also affects normal GSM services as well. The only solution is to reboot the phone. So I just disable LTE and let the phone negotiate 3G only. Mark.
