Thank you, that was just what what I wanted to know, very clear. And I like
the idea that if using a medieval pen-for-plectrum doesn't fit your plucking
habits a modern pen will. I used to cut up bank passes for making plectra,
glueing these to feathers just for the looks. But that was in my carbon and
metal wound string days ...

real plectrum should be like
