There are many enhancements in stability in 1.0.0pre2 over 0.12.0, bu
no particular problems I know about. The situation wrt gs should be
improved, in particular.

Well, what could come tomorrow is 1.0.0pre4 (but I don't think so). I
doubt that the real 1.0.0 will be out next week...
