Given this welcome observation, I wondered how hard the transition from
0.12 to 1.0pre would be. I assume there are no problems reading
0.12-files in 1.0pre?
Also, is there a binary version for Solaris available in which the forms
and Xpm libraries are statically linked in? As these aren't available on
the university computer I work on, it was a pleasant surprise for me that
such a version existed for 0.12. I am quite hesistant to install these
libraries myself and compile lyx myself, because I don't have a lot of
experience with Solaris and I am already satisfied with the current
version (i.e. 0.12), thanks to the developpers' efforts.
