I do like how the dupont connector I used makes a good neat little plug that's tidy, safe to grab (meaning the wires inside are protected from flexing or pulling), polarity keyed, and puts minimal strain on the pins in the TPDD. I like the end result a lot.
They were just way too slow to do more than a couple for yourself. I'm sending 2 of these to arcadeshopper after I modify the other 2 hoods to fit in M100, but I don't think I want to do any more that way. Ideally I think I'd like a small square pcb with the header on one edge like Fugu's, and vias to solder on a serial cable. Zip-tie the cable to the pcb and heat-shrink the whole thing.
