Hi Mike! firstly you are not doing anything wrong! This problem has been here as long as I've had my Mac and therefore before I did! No solutions but you do not have to quit address book just right arrow or left and back and you should see your text input! I think not a lot of people have told accessibility about this! But I could be wrong there! Of course someone might know something better about this! hth Colin
