Hello Sarah,

Thank you for your response.  I was doing just that, but it seemed an odd 
approach, especially since sometimes, when "re-interacting" with something with 
which one had previously interacted, all the Mac would do was beep at me.  
Though the approach works most of the time, it is slow, inconsistent and 
clunky, definitely a step or three below Mac's usually excellent approach to 
handling things.

I will start to look for an alternative to the Address Book and let everyone 
know if I find it.  I believe that I will also write to the accessibility 
people and apprise them of this sad state.
