But what if you do not have a system audio session? Can you just create a new
session and set the input to system audio? I deleted the system audio session
thinking it was some kind of preset. Thanks!

hi, i've been using audio hijack pro for the last year and i love it, i wanted
to be able to record myself and record what voiceover was doing for a podcast
that i never got done, heres how you do it.
make a new session using your built-in microphone as the imput. hijack that,
just hijack it don't record with it. then go to your system audio session and
start recording with it, and there you go. really useful when you want to show
someone how to use voiceover. amy

Amadeus is pretty cool. Might purchase the Lite version in the future since I
just want to record, edit and convert audio files. Do not need multiple tracks
or the analysis tools.

Exactly. I use it for everything from recording my syndicated content I air to
demos to just recording skype calls I need to record like for documentation
purposes. or to make comments on files in the middle of files. It's quite cool.

never used sound studio or what ever you called it but I use amadeus for my
podcasting work like when I'm going to merge files and also to edit mp3s like
when I digitize tapes.

Be blessed.

Uncheck the highjack in the tool bar. For some things it is a great app. For
just recording though there are several apps. For simple recording from the
mike there is an ap call audio recorder. It's been a long time since I've
checked their website though so don't know if it works with lion or m l. Never
used it with either, but it is free and doesn't have time limits as the trial
version of A H does. Of course the limit on audio highjack is that it will
impose white noise on what you are doing. If you had paid for the app then it
would be kind of dumb to just push it over to the side, especially when it can
be used to record streaming and stuff like that.

You just have to remember to turn highjacking off thats all when you have a
live mike going. Amadeus can also record, don't know if you use that app or
not and I would presume sound studio can too, bot of which seem to be good
apps. But Audio Highjack is a neat app to have, just gotta learn it like
anything else.

Hello all.
I am trying to record audio from my audio input. When I do this in Audio Hijack
Pro, the audio is not only being recorded; it is also being hijacked, causing
excessive feedback. Do I really need this app, or are there apps out there to
capture audio from either an application and or audio input without the
excessive feedback caused by hijacking. If so, can it record in the MP3 format
so it can be distributed on the web?
I have heard of Wiretap, should I try this?
Thanks for any help regarding this.
Chris.
