Gordon,
Please try 1 2 3 4
because my Apex only paired with those numbers, while others paired with 0 0
0 0

  Hi
According to HumanWare, the code is definitely 0000. But
that's not my issue. The point I'm trying to make is that iOS is
not even seeing the Apex! That being the case, the pairing code
is not relevant because according to the fhone, the Apex doesn't
exist! I'm sorry if I was not entirely clear on this But I'm
convinced it is an Apex issue because my Focus works flawlessly
every time. And yes, before trying to add the Apex, I first
remove the Focus and powy it off.
  Kind Regards

Gordon,
Did you try 1, 2, 3, 4?
That may work for you.
The only troubles I have ever experienced was when it did not
give enough
time to get the numbers put in.

Hi Glenn

Yes, this is what I? expect to happen. Oh, and the pairing code
is 0000 as
with many devices like this. Makes me wonder what is the point
of
implementing a code at all actually, given that there? 0
security.
However, it ain? working for me I? sorry to say. The Focus
does, so I
know my problem is related to the Apex. HumanWare UK tell me
also that they
are seeing similar problems and have alerted the Canadian
subsidiary company
which is HumanWare? dev envelopment arm and asked them to
investigate. As
you may have seen in my response to Eileen? post, I have tried
numerous
devices with the same result each time. But I won? give up,
maybe one time
I?l get lucky.

All this brings me to my next question. Is there a definitive
source of
commands for these displays? This also applies to the Mac as
well.

Kind regards

Hi Gordon,
I have done it, I don't recall if the code is
four zeros, or the numbers 1 2 3 4.
Seems that one is for the QT, and the other is for the Braille
keyboard.
So in your IOS device, go to settings, and bluetooth and then go
to
BlueTooth in the apex connectivity area, and you will be prompted
to enter
the numbers on the IOS device.
HTH.

 Hello all
Has anybody managed to get an Apex from HumawWare to pair with
an iPhone or iPad? If so, how did you accomplish this truly
amazing feat? No matter how I tryI simply cannot get these
devices to talk to each other. And yet, with the Freedom
Scientific Focus40-blue it just clicked, as soen as I tried.
If any BrailleNote user has managed this, I'd really love to
know how you did it!
 Kind regards
