Sorry, I should have said why I am considering it for a computer.
I am in hospital alot for a serious medical condition. The idea of having a
computer to kill the endless hours of boredom when I can't leave the bed due
to my breathing, was something that appealed to me. I would love to be able
to watch DVD's. I know that a laptop sounds like a better idea but the iMac
is much cheaper and is still relatively portable.

I just wondered what the DVD's play like on an iMac. You may think the iMac
screen is pretty small but when you compare it to the 3" X 3" hospital TV
screens, it is huge !

Thank you for your feedback. I do agree that it would be dumb to just have
play DVD's on a computer at home but since I am now spending more time in
hospital than at home, I just thought it might be an idea to get an iMac for
the hospital.
