Way to go, Amber. You are actually making your purchase decisions based 
on your needs. If everybody did that, Apple would sell a lot of Macs.
Normally I would tell someone to get the CDR drive, most people get more 
use out of it than DVD playback. Your needs seem to be different.
One thing I would check before I made a purchase like this, is to ask 
the hospital about restrictions/regulations/policies regarding having a 
computer. Be sure they allow such a device hanging around all the 
machines that go "bing".
