I have office98 but still use Word 5.1a, I run it in 9.2.2 and it opens all the documents from my peecee world (work). It is typical of the word after windoze rewrite where they said it was written for the Mac again... Ha you know you can't trust microsloth they are so into bloat ware they think they are doing you a favour by putting scrap files and edit crap on the heads and tails of documents and smart quotes and garbage that mess-up document translation. Word 5.1a is the best for the Mac and I have followed this thread hoping to hear of success in OSX. How well does it do in classic mode? Back to sloth rant mode. Because of the formatting garbage Appleworks stuggles with word docos a simple text file will cross but not word whipped sloth sh*t. Seems you go appleworks or stay with the sloth side. Oh and you all know that anything written on a mac and saved in pc weenie mode will cross back to dos boxes without problems . In fact I have been asked several times each year to save some pecee weenie document that windoze machines can't open, but I can.... I just use my Mac =:) Cheers Al -- Al West, "War is over if you want it to be [EMAIL PROTECTED] - John Lennon please note my new email address Hugh West <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> -- Mac Canada is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
