It doesn't matter which platform, the first computer to dial out has full
control over the line. You could have two computers each with a modem, but
only the first one to dial can connect. Just like how you can make a phone
call on one phone, and you can't just go to another telephone in the house
and make another call at the same time. (Unless you have more than one phone
line of course.) With Internet Connection Sharing, the computer running ICS
dials onto the internet, then shares that connection over ethernet or a null
modem connection to the other computer. The second computer doesn't use/
doesn't need a modem.
