Hi all

Had a consistent problem using Internet Explorer with my iMac (G3, 350mhz, 256 RAM, OS
9.0) which I've scrubbed around for ages, but is now beginning to bug me.

Essentially, I've had 4.5 working successfully - generally - for some years, but every
time I try to upgrade to IE 5, it won't work. I fire up IE 5, get the opening
logo/screen etc and then halfway through loading up it just disappears off screen.

I'm sure it's a simple issue, but I've dumped so many preferences, and tried all the
logical things that I really don't know what to try next. IE 4.5 is OK so far as it
goes, but a lot of the features in IE 5 are ones I would really find useful.

Ironically, I'm using IE 5 without a hitch at home on my 7300/200 (192 RAM, OS 8.6).

Anyone like to make my day by talking me through sorting this one?

Russ
