We went boadband rcently (ADSL courtesy of The Phone Co-op) and were
supplied with a Netgear broadband modem & a splitter. The Netgear modem has
sockets for both firewire and USB so we just plugged the Mac into the
Firewire and the PC into the USB. Having set up according to instructions
sent they both work just fine.
