I have the exactly same machine. (with 512MB ram though).
I run Tiger on it and it is fast. (Ok, not so fast as my 1.2Ghz
iBook, but comfortably fast).
I have disabled Dashboard though .(Mostly to conserve memory)

Sorry Mark, but Tiger is definitely faster than Panther on my
machines (Lime iMac DV and a Pismo, both 400MHz 512MB)
That said let's worry about getting our man on Panther
What's the current going price? I have a copy here up for grabs
