Hi again Listers,

I tried resetting the CUDA button by holding it in for about 20 secs.

I then removed the PRAM battery for 30 mins but when I tried rebooting
there was no difference that before. Still hangs with a grey screen and no
prompt.

Not sure what to try now, will have to leave it for a while and try to return to
the problem with a fresh head.

If anyone comes up with any more ideas plaese let me know.

Thanks again

John.

Hi Mary

Thanks for the direction link.

Have looked at most and there are a few pointers to try.

So will have a go as well as the PRAM & CUDA when I get a chance.

John.

Hi Again All,

Thanks for the info.

The Screen is just grey with no prompt.

Hi John,

I wonder if you've seen the reports of similar situations here:
