Hi Alex,
If I remember correctly your on Mac OS X 10.3.9, which means that
testing with the latest version is not currently an option due to
some build breakers on Mac OS X 10.3.9 and gcc 3.3.
Maho has filed 2 issues on this.

Hi,
In the absence of a functional MyODBC driver for MacIntel, I've
tried testing
Actual Technologies binary drivers. This is a nice piece of
software to play
with, well at least it would be if it weren't for the fact that it
works on
2.0.x but not on 2.1. And it is so much faster than JDBC, which BTW
also
doesn't work on MacIntel, at least not on the one I've tried with
the latest
JRE installed, but that's another gripe for me to deal with in another
thread :-).
I've contacted the developers at Actual Technologies, and they are
aware of
the problem, but their drivers have been broken by development
changes made
in the Mac port between 2.0.4 and 2.1.
The error message returned by OOo when trying to open a table (e.g.
double
click on MySQL table) is :
XRow::getLong() not implemented
Any help, advice or other that someone may care to proffer ?
