Hi Alex,
Hi Shaun,
If I remember correctly your on Mac OS X 10.3.9, which means that
testing with the latest version is not currently an option due to
some build breakers on Mac OS X 10.3.9 and gcc 3.3.
I don't think you read my message correctly. I said I'd been
testing the ODBC
drivers provided by Actual Technologies for MacIntel. You are
correct when
you say I have access to a test machine that is a PPC 10.3.9, that
is the one
I've been doing QA on, but it is not the one I tested the Actual
Technologies
drivers on.
Thanks for clearing this up and explaining it more fully. I don't
know why, but the phrase "MacIntel" just doesn't stand out for me, so
I never seem to notice it. However variations of "Mac OS X 10.4" and
"Tiger" jump out at me. Maybe I need to change my reading habits.

The reason why I'm suggesting the latest version of OpenOffice.org is
that there has be a CWS called macosxmapfiles integrated. There are
lots of thing that it fixes, including PPT export crash and testtool
not working, these were not intentional fixes, instead just positive
side effects of the macosxmapfiles fix. There has also been a 40MB
reduction in the size of the binary. As many problems only affected
Intel, but not PPC since 2.0.x or 2.1, then this may be yet another
issue that has been fixed there. You need a build from maho with the
version OOF_m6 or later (m7 isn't yet available). Unfortunately I
seem to be having a problem connecting to good-day.net ftp server
since the maximum number of connections limit has been reached, or
there is a timeout.
Shaun
