Hi Alex and everyone else interested,

I have a working ODBC driver for MySQL on MacIntel and just confirmed
that I can do what you failed to do with the JDBC driver and the steps
described below.

I am at work now so I will send it to tonight if you are interested
along with instructions on how to use it.

If it works for you then I will make it publically available so that
everyone can use it.

Kind regards,
Florian

I can do that with my ODBC driver.

I can happily edit data in my tables.
