I agree, but this is exactly what we will build once integrated.
Your point about doing the same at integration is right. On integration, it will be done. Done right. And done ONCE.
My purpose was : do that only once (means provide alpha is unusual way), to save time waiting the real integration is effective. Nothing else.
BTW : my patch is now in aquavcl01, and we will change for a better solution later.
