Isn't that what Release Notes and "technology preview"-like-tags are for?
Take one of the latest to-be-dev300mX-beta builds and label it properly (as
long as it doesn't crash on every second user action).

On the other hand, as far as I understand the mac port is almost aquatic, so
this the most critical time for porters-developers (who have worked so
hard), that something doesn't get wrong, at least in the perception of the
general public, so I would give them the last word on this decision, and not
the always eager community members, like myself ...
