I agree, but then how do you define basic functionality ? If you mean
just writer, calc, draw and impress, I disagree. Base is as much part of
the suite as the rest, and an essential business component. The reason
the reports module was rewritten was because it was felt to be an
important business need.
This problem affects every platform, and everyone who is on the
development releases.
I must admit to not having tried to install the SRB with other DEV3
platform releases, so I can't confirm or deny. If it does affect all
platforms, then it is a big step back in functionality. However,
Mecthilde has said that it works with m3 (I'm going to have to wait for
my build to finish before I can test).
If you can come up with a list of known issues, I can add it to the
information on http://porting.openoffice.org/mac/download/aqua.html
If I can get DEV3 to stay open for more than 30secs I'll let you know.
So far, whenever I click on New Document of any kind, OOo DEV3 m1
crashes and starts the recovery service.
