Well, you'll have to enlighten me then, because I've told you what I
know about MacFUSE.

How can you be sure that this isn't just circumstantial evidence?

You shouldn't be surprised. MacFUSE includes a kernel extension. It is
not uncommon for a kernel extension installation to require a system
reboot, although MacFUSE doesn't any more. Are you surprised when
things like QuickTime updates require a system reboot?

I wasn't asking about your ssh skills. I was asking if you could ssh
into this particular machine and see what was going on.
