I not disagreeing with your statement, I'm just saying, in my opinion,
everything points out to MacFUSE install. Before this there was not
trouble.

I cannot be sure, however all observation and steps which I did
suggests it is MacFUSE.

BTW. I've just tried to "uninstall" whole MacFUSE using following
instructions:
http://code.google.com/p/macfuse/issues/detail?id=36&can=2&q=
but didn't help, still icons missing.
