You have to uninstall OSXFUSE first before you can install any build of MacFUSE again. I explained this in my OSXFUSE announcement mail. Go to the OSXFUSE preference pane and hit "Remove OSXFUSE". After that you can instal MacFUSE again.
What kind of mess caused OSXFUSE? Could you be more specific?
