Sorry about that Ward. I hope your lip didn't bleed on my account. I
want to congratulate you for standing by your fellow members the way
you did. As you probably know, I'm not a member of your group. If I was,
I'd probably call an emergency meeting just to keep this debate going.
But I'm a guest on your list, and am thankful for the privilege to be a
part of it. That's why I wanted to drop the subject. I saw neither side
was giving in, and didn't think it was fair to the others on the list to
have to be subjected to it.

For some reason, I feel the need to provide you and the group with a
summary of my background. For more than 35 years I've repaired,
maintained and overhauled a variety of electronic, electrical and
mechanical systems and devices. Ive been exposed to more types of
operating systems than the average technician. And, just about
everything I worked on was computer controlled. I even worked for a
computer company once, but that was way before the desktop came to be.
So when I was insisting the printer wasn't relaying accurate information
on ink levels, I wasn't just beating my gums. Nothing technical was
stated to support Jerry's claims, and electrostatic charges aren't going
to cut it.

If I'm still allowed to be a part of the list, I'll try my best to keep
responses down to one e-mail, but I can't make any guarantees.
