I installed Tiger about a week ago and I'm trying to use Spotlight to
find some rather obvious things, but they're not showing up in the
list of found files/folders.

1. I have a folder in my ~users/(home)/Documents folder called
"SONGS". In Spotlight, I type in "songs" (or "Songs" or "SONGS")
and ... it finds several files with the word "songs" in them and a
folder called "GarageBand Demo Songs" that is in ~/users/shared, but
it does not find the one in my Documents folder.

2. Inside my home "Documents" folder I have a Quark file called
"octobercalendar". When I type "october" into spotlight's search box,
it does not find that file.

3. In my home folder I have folders named "Photos 2003", "Photos
2004" and "Photos 2005". When I type "photos" into Spotlight it finds
the folder "Photos 2005" but not "Photos 2003" or "Photos 2004".

What's going on here? Is Spotlight perhaps gradually indexing my
computer and it just hasn't gotten all the way through the files and
folders yet? Or is there some feature/bug that's making it very (and
too) selective in what it finds?
