I'm sure there's some profit potential to using Intel chips, otherwise it would be a non-issue.
However, I can see the advantage of porting OSX to run on Intel machines. Imagine the customer base that can be opened up! Apple could embrace the masses of people who are fed up with Windows but can't afford or aren't able to switch to Apple hardware. Just a thought. Anybody see Mac King on the Crusade broadcast?
