Jerry,  Thanks for the heads up,,, after I'm sure everything has been moved
to the external drive, I was planning to reinstall the system OS, as a
last-ditch (as you say, don't have much to lose)...Hopefully you can come
across that software--keeping my fingers crossed!  Cathy
