I am waiting to upgrade the hard drive on my MacBook Pro want to get a

Simple answer delete files.

What files would cause this lots of pictures, videos and music files.

Burn them on DVD or transfer to an external hard drive.

 

I use WhatSize to tell me where the files that are taking up all the
room are.

Always upgrade your hard drive in your computer to a bigger size and
keep a back up copy.

This is really an uninformed question, but there you are!

How do you "free up space from your startup disk"   because there is not
enough room?
