Need help to record from Insight's Cable box. I know I have ask this before but not sure of the reply.
I just called Insight, great guy, put me on hold and then came back to tell me yes I could record from the firewire port on the back of their box to an external firewire drive but with the FCC rules he was not able to tell me how. There is a show I really want to record and keep it on my drive forever and not on their hard drive. So, are there any of you out there that know how to do this using the Insight's box to another source, be it a Mac or an External powered Firewire drive? Sure would appreciate some detailed instruction or a link that makes it simple to understand. Many thanks.
