Does anyone have a recommendation for a cordless phone. I'm returning
the second one I've bought this year. Problem is that it is very
difficult, sometimes impossible to hear over it. And I am standing
right by its base station. The old one i had from Radio Shack was
perfect. Easy to hear over, able to hold nine or ten numbers in memory
for quick dialing. And you could plug in headphone for handless use
which is what I want a cordless phone for. I use it when I call
computer tech for help.

I'm not looking for any bells and whistles, just want to be able to
hear the person on the other end. Both of my failures had a dial to
increase the volume. And it worked: to increase the volume of my voice
(even get reverberations my husband could hear on the floor above),
but did nothing to increase the volume of the incoming voice.

Any suggestions greatly appreciated.
