Been away from the computer or I would have answered before now.
I have had nothing but fantastic experience with AppleCare. I have
had five of my Airport Express units go bad as I had them stored
inside a gun case with the canisters that keep the moisture from the
guns, somehow that ruined 5 of them, Apple replaced all because I had
AppleCare on my laptop and desktop units, but it would have only taken
one.
I had an Airport Extreme go bad, Apple replaced due to the AppleCare
on the computers. I had one bad computer in dozens and dozens I have
owned. After two repairs and a third problem I ask them for a
replacement (two years after purchase). Of course in two years the
units had improved but they were going to give me a new one and were
even willing to let me upgrade to the Pro model if I would pay the
difference.
My experience has taught me that I will always buy the Applecare, it
has paid for itself over and over.
