Bill,

I know and feel the same pain. Our bill is almost $180.00 without any of the movie channels and no phone. I have the 20 meg download.

In my area AT&T is stringing fiber. I have talked to many of the linemen as they work in the area. They say soon we will have speeds as good or better than cable, I guess that is why Insight is going to go to 30 meg.

I am sure going to check with AT&T and at least use them as a hammer with the cable company but so far they have not turned the service on.

Hey all,

Our Insight bill jumped $7.15 to a (ridiculous) $114.73 for TV + lowest tier of internet. It seems that others we know (who are not on introductory plans) pay far less. A couple of questions:

. Do others on this list get gouged so badly?

. Is it at all possible to find the pricing of Insight's services? I cannot find anything other than 'introductory' prices.

. My step-daughter claims that I should just call up and threaten to shut off the service. Supposedly this will cause them to offer some lower-priced service. Has anyone ever done this well? I would think I need some sort of alternative to threaten them with... but I couldn't find alternatives when searching around.

Thanks for any hints.
