I'm working on the similar things. I am using beaglebone black and with xenomai on linux 3.8.13 and I tried to use it with BBGW and yeah it refuse to boot and my SD card and boot with the image in emmc instead. Have you by any chance be able to run BBGW with 3.8.13?
