I am in the process of upgrading my LCIII with an Ethernet card to use it as
a backup server in my home network.
I have the card and know where it will be placed in the computer. What I am
unsure about is whether there are any software drivers that I need to have
loaded/installed in order to use the card/Ethernet.
Also, the LCIII is currently running 7.5.3, though I am seriously
considering upgrading to 7.5.5 and possibly getting 8.1 or 8.0 loaded onto a
separate hard drive (with BornAgain shareware) so that I can access some
HFS+ formatted drives with this machine for backup reasons.
Thus, my questions are:
1) Do I need to find software drivers for this card?
2) If so, where can I find them?
3) Assuming use of Sys 7.5.3 (for the moment), how do I "tell" the Mac to
use the Ethernet connection?
Thanks much for any help you can provide.
Regards,
Chelley
