That still has nothing to do with HFS+ but is a limitation of the
AppleShare protocol.  It uses a signed 32 bit value for file size and disk
space which translates into a 2Gb maximum size.  Normally it doesn't matter
other than you can't tell how much free space there is on the disk.  Some
programs though seem to look at this to tell if there is enough room to
save a file and will tell you there isn't even though there is.  Newer
programs usually do it write and let the OS worry about such things.  I
think that the AppleShareIP protocol doesn't have this limitation, only
AppleShare on AppleTalk.
