Yes you need the drivers.
1)What flavour of card is it?
Then drivers can be found.
2> depends on the card =)
3). should just be able to tell it using the powerful "appletalk control panel".
Recommend that you go to at least 7.5.5 or perhaps 7.6.1 - reason being O/Transport is
better there.
You may give up too much trying to run OS 8.0/8.1 on an LC III.
