No, nobody would build an app to do EXACTLY that, since presumably there are fewer people cataloging plants in Aperture than there are organizing home photos or wedding shoots. Scratch that, home photos is probably an isolated case too. Most people use iPhoto for that, I guess). But everybody seems to continually confuse "something helpful to consumers" and "I do business on the Mac, and I need this specific workflow". That's why there's going to be both. So you can catalog your plants with three windows, and when you're done, you can immerse yourself in an environment that's maybe a bit more sculpted, and a lot more relaxing. I need three terminal windows, email, a browser and a couple of remote screen viewing apps open sometimes. If I'm going to look at family photos, I really just need a big fat Aperture window.
