Hi LuKreme,
That's the entire message in the Console log. After reading about "pmset",
however, I issued the following command:
pmset -g sched
and got the following results:
Scheduled power events:
[0] wakeorpoweron at 05/04/12 02:21:25 by com.elgato.eyetv
In fact, I issued that command several times yesterday and the time keeps
changing. So it looks like EyeTV (which I use to record TV shows) is waking up
my mac every few hours. I connected the EyeTV dongle to the USB port a few
months ago, which is about when I started noticing the monitor waking up, so
this seems like this almost certainly must be the culprit.
I will contact the vendor (Elgato) and see if they have any suggestions. I
only have the software configured to record a few music shows each weekend on
PBS, so I don't know why it has to wake up my mac every few hours all week
long. Maybe it is continually looking for updates regarding TV channel data.
Perhaps I can turn this updating off.
Thanks,
Gregg
