I have the lock icon displayed in my menubar, so often times, I will click there to lock the screen, but mostly I just quickly move the mouse to the upper right corner of my display, as I have that set in the Expose system preference to put my display to sleep [i still don't know why that is in the Expose preference and not in the display or energy saver preference; perhaps it has changed in Lion; i rarely use my laptop now that I "upgraded" to Lion]. I like the shortcut key combo; I am very strict about using the mouse when my hands are on the mouse and using keyboard shortcuts when my hands are on the keyboard; if I have to get up while typing an e.mail, shift-control-eject will become my new best friend. Thanks for the tip! :) /vjl/ [control-x if in pine; command-shift-d if in mail.app :) ] _______________________________________________ MacOSX-talk mailing list [email protected] http://www.omnigroup.com/mailman/listinfo/macosx-talk
