And then there is a checkbox, "Stay in SSL mode after login". Just don't
check it.
Note that this means your username and password will be encrypted (you will
hit the site with SSL once), and then nothing else will be. But I am
personally not worried about not having an SSL session.
As to what the problem is: it has something to do with the type of
certificate SF uses. I've been told it is fixed in IE 5.5, but that it
certainly is a bug in IE. I cannot speak for SourceForge, but yes, I do
think it would be a good idea to use an SSL setup that works for all
browsers, even broken ones; not knowing the specifics, I don't know how
feasible this is.
