Chris, Is there any chance of a new text engine, eg. WASTE for the new version of MacPerl? There are also minor bugs in the aete and the labels for objects need tidying up -- for example Window «class cwin» should be window all lower-case or it gives the impression it is a different class, we have 'Open' AND 'open', and a whole lot of capitalized classes and events that ought to be all lower case. Editing in BBEdit is fine, but there is still a hiatus and it would make things so much more convenient to have a modern built-in text engine. A scripts menu would also be very handy, but that's probably asking for the moon. JD
