I've seen it happen in the MacOS Classic environment in System X.1.2, too. Launching MacPerl by double-clicking a script for editing, right after classic starts up, the MacPerl app launches, but the script does not open. In another case, the script opened, but that strange cursor spinning problem happened (com-period stops the spinning). So, this problem is not so *very* intermittent after all. -Richard
