The touch screen phones that the VI / blind world are able to use now are
different to that of the Iphone touch screen.
  Windows although a touch screen, 
Is not reliant on the finger to be used. Where as the iphone is. If you
don't use the finger tip to touch the I phone screen then it wont work
correctly if at all.
  Where as current windows touch screens work with anything that hits the
right spot.


So the interface would have to allow for that to hppen and that could be the
issue.

Hi some one on here said that visually empaired people are already using
touch screens, but the thing I'm trying to figure out is unless apple comes
up with a tactile overlay or something, I don't understand how a totally
blind person is supposed to be able to use one of these things.
