It sounds like you don't have all your devices set p to receive from all your 
addresses and numbers. On iOS, go to Settings > Messages, and find the place 
near the bottom where all the emails and numbers tied to your Apple ID are. 
Make sure they are all selected.

On the Mac, go to the Messages app, then Preferences > Accounts tab. Select 
your iMessages account in the table, select the Settings tab, and find the 
table right after "you can be reached for iMessages at" text. Check everything 
you want in there as well.

On both devices, also check that the "send as" is where you want it. This sets 
which email or number is used when you start a new conversation with anyone. It 
is in the same place as where you enabled everything in the above steps.
