Thanks, Shawn. I agree with your approach. In fact I've set my several
vms for auto login figuring I've already handled that for the host
machine, why worry about it in the guests?

However, I'm disinclined to change the password to a null string, if the
system would even permit that! And, I don't see an option for auto login
under either Security and Privacy, or under Users and Groups. I know
I've seen it before, but I'm not finding that now.

Disabling auto login while the machine is home, then enabling it for the
road would be my preference, I think.
