Hi, Tim, All:

I know this is an old thread, but I only now finally dared a reboot.

My machine acted as though I'd been misentering my password. It never
prompted for a username and password. Rather, on startup, it went
immediately to the "Reset your password" screen.

So, I choose the "Having trouble with my keyboard" option which took me
to the option of unencrypting my hd. That, in turn, took me back to the
old familiar login. A subsequent reboot seems to indicate I should be OK
now, howbeit unencrypted.

And, yes, the auto login option is sure there now, now that encryption
is gone! I liked your analogy, Tim!

Thanks again.

Janina
