Yes, Time Capsule is definitely very pricey, but I ended up buying one anyway because the USB port of the Extreme is only USB 2 and I could easily saturate the bandwidth to it over gigabit Ethernet. If this isn’t really a concern for you, then using an Extreme together with an Express is a very awesome setup. You can turn your DSL modem into a bridge and handle your Internet connection on the Extreme, extending it with an Express, and providing two remote Ethernet ports over WDS.
